Frilled Dragons are smaller than most other breeds, but when threatened, they stretch out their wings and frills to appear larger. They generally do not like to fight and prefer hiding to confrontation. Frilled dragons live in small groups and often band together to scare off potential threats. Males also use their frills as a way to attract mates, with those displaying the “best” frills being more likely to breed.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Yamina's Swirl was justly named in a mixture of tradition and the swirling patterns adorning her wings. While the frilled dragons hold a special place in Yamina's heart, she hasn't come across any since she found Yamina's Swirl's egg. And the young dragon has yet to find a mate and have eggs of her own. Yamina's Swirl is a highly dramatic dragon, vocalizing often with the slightest of scratches or the smallest twitch of a bush branch. Often times she will hear something unfamiliar and run to hide next to Yamina, who will then calm the frilled's fears before continuing on their way. It seems the only place that Yamina's Swirl is comfortable is their home, where she was hatched and raised. While at home Yamina's Swirl enjoys looking after the eggs and often times will sit the hatchlings down and tell them a story, which Yamina will catch only bits and pieces of. Yamina believes that Yamina's Swirl will make a great mother when she does, finally, have eggs of her own.
