Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It must be very shy since it keeps hiding from you.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Green Alex wanted to be a child forever because everyone around him said that he was so cute. But he froze himself so early in his life that the signs for his gender had not shown jet.

When the dragons of the cave found Alex they also liked him at once because of his cuteness. They thought that the frozen hatchling looked like a "he" and so they named him Alex and didn't mind that he also could be a "she".
