Failed attempts to experiment with magic often result in transforming dragons into these hellish creatures. They are extremely dangerous, and will mindlessly kill any living creature without regard to friend or foe.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

Shy, for about three minutes after being converted from a dying Night Glory drake, was relatively nice-ish to the person who had converted her. However, well, that didn't last. At all. Shy has to be locked up at really almost all times in a little black room at the back of the cave system, where nobody really bothers her. Ever. There's been thoughts of trying to get her out of the caves so they don't have to hear her terrifying growls at night, but no dragon's actually willing to volunteer to guide her out of the system, unsurprisingly.
