Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Old Dead Crow Meat hates his name.  It was bad enough being the only red hatchling with a longer name than usual, but to be named after carrion was just unbearable.  What were his parents...scratch that, his grandparents thinking, anyway, naming his parents they way they did.  Never mind. They were 'creepy' old dragons, the kind no little dragon wanted to bring to Ancestors Day, because the other hatchlings would stare and whisper to their parents so loudly everyone could hear, asking what was wrong with the Marrows, and why didn't they go for the fresh meat.  Even as an adult, Old Dead Crow Meat has to bear the taunts of fellow reds with pristine family lines as they settle around the feasting pit, and wishes his parents had just called him "Bob."
