Magma Dragons are capable of withstanding the intense temperatures of their element. They live in volcanic regions, their bodies coated in the red hot magma which clings to their scales. They must leave the lava fields in order to hunt, although they require surprisingly little food to sustain their lumbering mass.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Obsidrien TrembleBurn (after the gemstone: Obsidian) is the 86th dragon adopted into the clan cave, third generation Magma-Hellfire mix. This ancestral combination has left its mark, for she has both hot temper and temperament, in addition to her smoldering scales! Shortly after her egg was laid, her caretaker sought out a new home for her, concerned for her wellbeing. It is rumored that her elder, hellion brother, wished harm upon her egg, and in a fit of jealousy, tried to kill her! Thankfully, his plot failed and she was whisked away to join the clan cave. This tragedy is most likely the root of her anger and fury, although it is well known that she struggles within herself to control and calm her inner demons. When it comes to the protection of her adoptive clan, however, she is no doubt, an elemental force to be reckoned with, and while Iolythend is the thunders master, it is Obsidrien who commands the molten earth and ground, sending all who oppose her trembling in her wake.
