Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Win, an insecure, paranoid dragon, has never understood why humans like to use his name so much. Sure, he has a good nest worth of laughing kitties and cut-outs in the shape of a "b", but no human he approaches ever wants to explain why those are so important. To Win, they're just his particular quirk—the equivalent of an entrance card to Kadoatie's quirky clan. He is perpetually chasing after frightened teenage girls to ask why they describe literally everything with his name. After all, he certainly isn't a creation of "pixels", or a strangely worded sentence, or people falling on their faces, or watching children play with weapons. Those things just cannot be the Win that he is!
