Brimstone Dragons live in dry arid areas such as deserts where they feed mainly on sheep, goats and the occasional camel. Their favorite habitat is ideally situated close to the wastelands around active volcanoes. This is due to an important part of their diet—sulfur, which they obtain from deposits near volcanic gas vents. Instead of fire, these dragons use the sulfur they ingest to create a noxious gas which they store in their large throat pouches. When in danger, this gas is released in a large cloud. They also eat other mineral rich substances—including charcoal—and will drink the mineral rich (but slightly acidic) water commonly found in deserts and volcanic regions.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Burn lives in ancient castle ruins among the sun-baked sand dunes and swaying palms of a vast desert. In the morning, while the air is still cool and the sun has not yet crested the horizon and begun to scorch the land, Burn glides through the arid desert sky, the gentle, dry breeze carrying to him the scents of figs and cactus. In the evenings he spends his time resting in the shade of a large rock or palm tree. At dusk and twilight, Burn hunts, stalking across the sand that is still warm from the sun's relentless heat during the day. Burn likes his food salted and sun-dried, and enjoys spicy dried peppers and fire-roasted scorpions. Unlike most Brimstones, he can breathe fire due to the high amounts of sulfur, hydrogen, and phosphorus dissolved in the water that he drinks. He is quite fond of the particularly acidic, turquoise-blue water from a certain oasis near his home. His favorite treasures are sundials and hourglasses, so that he can keep track of the ever-shifting sands of time.
