Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Maracadar chose when he was very young to study the path of Varaugh, the ancient, legendary master of healing magic. Maracadar was calm, peaceful, and didn't believe in war. He only cared about helping all dragons and saving lives. He went into training with some other hatchlings, some White and some Magi, far away from home and became a master of healing. Now that he is older, Maracadar has returned to his birth cave and now works with the White dragons in the infirmary of the cave. There he heals dragons, no matter who they are or what they are, and gives them back the full ability to do what they had always done before they came to the infirmary. Seeing the healed dragons happy again always makes Maracadar smile and feel happy himself.
