Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Benedict Cumberbatch is a strange dragon, not unlike his mentor, the Guardian of Nature called Sherlock Holmes. Even though he is often quite disagreeable, also like Holmes, the other dragons in the group are quick to recognize his superior intelligence and capability for observation and deduction. He can also be friendly if it suits his purpose, but he is usually sarcastic and rude to all about him. Although Cumberbatch is without a doubt exceptionally bright, he recognizes that Sherlock Holmes is his superior, and can usually be seen shadowing him-often to the other dragon's great annoyance. Whenever he is surprised, he is apt to begin screaming, "Oh my GOD!" nonstop for ten minutes or more, which never fails to provoke the displeasure of the master.
