Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Theamaeris is known as "The Fair Weather" dragon. Her home is very memorable, as the entire village near there seems to have a distinct lack of emotion within it. The reason is due to her directly influencing the surrounding weather depending on the mood of the people she most recently meets. Someone upset over a small loss may cause a small sprinkle or shower, while a feverish person may cause her to summon a severe heat wave. The last major incident was a war of clans, which caused her to summon a terrible tsunami in response, decimating the land around her and killing hundreds. Despite this, she seems to bear no vengeance towards the village, and can be manipulated with extreme caution into providing exactly the weather needed at the time. She has no close friends, but she seems to prefer to be left in solitude. Then again, not even other dragons have gotten close to discover more about her. Whether she enjoys being alone or is simply a depressed vessel, no one may ever know.
