When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Saline and Aqquifa were together as eggs. They've grown up depending on each other—and always sharing the same body of water. Recently, they've discovered that they were connected to Krystalix's cave, where they were instantly accepted as part of the general cave.

All her life, Saline only knew to rely on Aqquifa. Therefore, when they play pranks, it may seem like they are doing it to irritate dragons but they are actually pushing others further and further away from them. Saline especially doesn't like it when dragons come in and swim in their little lake, she is very picky about who can join them. Out of the 'mischievous duo', she is the more picky one. She only eats what she catches, will not touch any red meat, and will only talk to a select few.
