Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Like those of his species, Kaizar has the ability to manipulate weather. His trademark technique is to enhance the sound of his roar to carry for miles and mix with howling winds to stun attacking dragons or fleeing humans. He has also learned to focus his power around his mouth to roar strong gusts that can knock over several well-built structures at a time. Despite this, he has a relatively calm nature and is very collected and easy-going. He considers tormenting weaker creatures more a game for his amusement than any means to an end. He also has great respect for his tyrannical mistress and will gladly follow her anywhere. Together, they have formed both a passionate relationship and a deadly alliance as they travel together ravaging many villages and have come to be known as the Pirates of the Sky. Due to Kaizar's ability to create thunderous roars, he has been called the Thunderwind by those who have faced his power.
