Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It glows with some form of arcane energy.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Mlagern is the scribe of the cave. Often working by witchlight, (a Magi dragon's version of flame, pure magic in the form of fire) he silently scribbles alone. But, don't let his quiet nature lead you astray, he's quick of temper and doesn't bottle up any desire to pop someone in the jaw. Mlagern serves a very respected role in his clan; he's so creative that sometimes mother dragons ask him to help with naming. He makes sure he's never dull in that subject, so sometimes you see him naming forest animals. One of the animals he's named is Blackshine, a very clever raven whom Mlagern has raised from an egg. Blackshine is often seen with Mlagern, and often chases away people who may disturb him from writing. Sometimes when Mlagern writes, he gets awfully tired of talking in the third person, and you can tell because he starts scribbling an out-of-character word or sentence at the very bottom of his work.
