Mistlet Pygmies thrive in humid environments and are most content when frolicking in the rain or fog. The cheerful demeanor they exhibit provides a remarkable contrast to their shadowy appearance, bringing joy in otherwise gloomy environments. Mistlets are an especially beautiful sight in long summer evenings, as their streak of vibrant scales catch the fading sunlight. They spend a great deal of their time foraging for edible roots and insects, and sometimes enjoy treats in the form of small fish or frogs.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pygmy dragons are the smallest category of dragons, being on the same scale as domesticated animals. They are often found around concentrated populations of dragons, relying on their larger brethren to ward away potential predators and leave scraps. As such, the majority of a pygmy’s diet is scavenged. Due to their tiny size, pygmies do not breed with larger varieties of dragons.

User Description

Tensia has always been a happy dragon. Ever since she hatched, she's had the faithful Athu as her companion and friend. They may be different breeds of pygmies, but they have so much in common. They love to play and tumble and fly and race, and what a sight it can be! Their laughter is contagious, and just watching them flutter about can bring a smile to anyone's face. It's no wonder that Tensia and Athu soon became loving mates! Tensia knows that there are other caring, responsible dragons that look after eggs, but she has always preceded to look after the pygmy eggs herself. She has even tried to adopt them into her own family! Tensia knows that she isn't really their mother, but she has a special place in her little heart for other pygmies. It's okay if she can't be the mother to ALL the little dragons, she has her very own children. And Tensia couldn't possibly care for eggs all the time, because then she wouldn't have any time to play!
