Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its eyes glow brightly at night, and it enjoys attacking insects and small animals.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

When a traveller discovers the dragon clan in the middle of deep woods, their first sight may sometimes be a black hatchling. It is usually seen walking back and forth across a path. When it notices the newcomer, it will come closer and greet them, then let them know whose territory they are entering. Strangely, only very few dragons of Thoiris clan have ever seen it and not much is known about it. Some even claim it to be just a myth.
