Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It was born with a full set of wings.

And look! Its wings have grown larger! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Tan Boy is a young hatchling regarded strangely for his colours. Not that he really minds, he quite likes the colouring. He tends to try and mimic the Ridgewing adults acrobatics and stumbles about after it. He prefers to stick with bigger groups, and likes to socialize with the adult dragons. Although, he's a bit scared of the drakes.
