Aww... It’s a cute baby drake. It almost never stops chirping.

And look! It has gotten bigger! It must be close to maturing.

Young drakes are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own.

Shrieker's egg was lost shortly after being laid due to the meddling of a Red dragoness. Luckily though it was found by a group of resident Night Glories. The shy creatures have taught him how to avoid unwanted attention and they care for him as if he was there own drakeling. But his annoying habit of shrieking at potential dangers instead of just flying away startles his adopted family time and again.
