Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Taellonn is his human travel partner, Drake's, most trusted companion. However, he heavily relies on her, and suffers from separation anxiety if he doesn't know where she is. This often hinders Drake's plans, but also has saved her life on many occasions. Taellonn himself has a love for literature, and aspires to be a poet and author. He has no interest in breeding, but would happily find a mate if given the opportunity.
