Storm-Rider Dragons are a coastal breed—though they can also be found in open plains, preferring the violent thunderstorms that usually occur in such areas. It is not known if the dragons create storms themselves with their electrical capabilities or if they simply magnify existing fronts; no matter the cause Storm-Riders can be seen tumbling through the worst of weather as if it were no more than a light breeze.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Wife to another Storm-Rider by the name of Ruull, Uyezi is unusual for her kind. She much prefers remaining on the ground, only flying if necessary or if her mate requires her to. She loves breezes, but storm weather is too strong for her. She spends her time in the same village as Ruull, though often at the foot of his roosting tower as opposed to with him. She aids the villagers with simple tasks, such as carrying loads of produce or catching fish, while her husband ferries individuals to and fro.
Her greatest secret is that while she actually loves storm weather winds, Uyezi hates flying over the ocean for fear she'll fall and hit the water too hard or be unable to swim. Though she has never voiced her mostly irrational fears to her husband, she often thinks of doing so, though she doubts anything would come of it.
