Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Skycloud is a female Skywing dragon. Her tail was injured at birth, so she can not fly properly, and having no legs, it is extremely difficult to get around. She hobbles on the ground. Sometimes she manages to glide, but only for a short time, and can't get higher than a few feet off the ground. One day she discovered that it is easier on her if she is in water. Having not been made for this kind of living, she only goes in sometimes. She holds her breath, and dives in to get some fish, since she can not swoop down on prey from the air. Her human is trying to help her fly by making her a paper tail piece. Even though sometimes it is hard to manage, Skycloud never gives up.
