Originating from a single species that thrived in ancient times, Xenowyrms have become an incredibly diverse breed whose appearances vary depending on their habitats. Each Xenowyrm subspecies is heavily reliant on the power of different types of mana, making them powerful magic users. Chronos are often considered to be the most elusive of all Xenowyrm subspecies: they live in the darkest and densest forests, far from civilization. They are masters of time magic, allowing them to manipulate the flow of time at will. It is said that Chrono lairs are protected by a field of magic that makes the minutes tick by at a slow pace for any unwanted visitors.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

A long time ago a band of four dragons tyrannised the farthest corners of Galsreim, killing dragons and humans alike, creating fear and panic wherever they went.

Among the four Xenos, Kronos was the leader and in his own way the most vicious. Charismatic and with a vision of power he united the four and his only loyalty lay with his brethren—which never stopped him from establishing his dominance. In a way tormenting those he dearly loved was the most gratifying display of power.

The band of brothers has long since dissolved after Methos the Magei decided he wanted to be his own dragon but Kronos still longs after the days of his past glory and tries to find his lost lover first of all. After he's established who makes the ultimate decisions, he's sure Methos will help him to bring the band back together and once again make dragons and humans tremble in fear at the mere mentioning of their names.
