When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. This dragon is one of EG's favorite dragons. The reason for this is that she is a swimmer. EG loves to go out onto Lake Cumberland and spend a long day with Cumberland Spirit thus this is where he got his name. It seems to have a fear of sunken boats and has the tendency to move some docks around and letting them go adrift. He and EG enjoy frightening random boaters. It gives them a nice laugh. He is also the reason that the dam is leaking, causing the lake to go down. The government has hidden that secret from the Kentuckians, telling them that the rock under the dam is the problem. But in reality, Cumberland Spirit hit the dam with his tail.
