Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This dragon, along with several others, are members of an acting troupe who call themselves the Regal Players (RPers for short). Though all of the dragons in the troupe are biologically female, Sapphirebreeze has no qualms about, and usually prefers, playing any necessary male roles because he identifies as a male dragon. The other RPers and their fans are very supportive of him, but some of the stodgier dragons in the cave are often demeaning and cruel. When offstage, he is a perfect specimen of his kind: readily able to defend himself and those he loves from any threats, but always advocating for a peaceful resolution first.
