Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Frozen Fodder, much as the name implies, is frozen. The owner cast a spell on it to stop aging. Little did she know, this would make it so the hatchling was frozen forever in an icecube. Frozen Fodder can never grow up because no one can melt the ice, no matter how hard they try. Frozen Fodder is stuck where it is, staring at people creepily when they walk past its ice-y prison.
