Cheese Dragons are not actually alive. They are enchanted items of food that act almost identically to dragons. They have no need to eat, but they must “live” in humid environments or they will dry out and harden.

Kaas-Kaas actually means Cheese-Cheese in Dutch, which is where he was imported from. Brother to Sira-Sira, Kaas-Kaas's egg was thrown into the air, deemed useless by the wizard who cast the spell upon it. It landed in a grassy patch in Gwyth'gaer island, and was later found by Altayria, the Teacher and abandoned egg caretaker. His egg was taken immediately to the food pile. Just as one of the dragons was about to eat the egg, Kaas-Kaas hatched out into what the dragons of the island called an "enchanted dragon." He currently lives in the dampest part of the cave with Sira-Sira, along with all the other enchanted dragons. He is extremely brave, even though he could have landed on a sharp rock rather than a patch of soft grass. Of course, because of this, he is sometimes very pompous and even arrogant at times towards people who call him "soft".
