Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

His name means "Butter Butt" in Japanese. He is one of the many sons of Kentaro and Kiyomi, and was raised alongside his brother Hanuke, with whom he is very close. Since they are identical twins, no one knows Hanuke better than Bata-Shiri. Growing up, Bata-Shiri often had to act as an interpreter, telling the other dragons what his brother wanted to say. Bata-Shiri often wondered why his brother was born mute, and he was not. His always let's him know it's okay though, that's he's fine. Both are very handsome dragons and are very popular among the other dragons. Bata-Shiri also has a wonderful singing voice, and often entertains the other dragons by singing for them. That's how he met his mate, Kinka. He was singing when suddenly a beautiful female joined him. She literally sparkled and shone in the sunlight, and her voice was as if an angel were singing with him. He fell in love. They began singing together, and soon were in love. They are mates now, and love each other so much.
