Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Nevyn Raistlin Alumajeros typically spends his daylight hours sitting in front of the cave window in a shady spot watching people.  He seems to find humans fascinating, and especially finds their crazy antics amusing.  He particularly enjoys watching wizards, and those strange pointy-eared short and hyper people that occasionally accompany said wizards.  Most of the other dragons generally think he's a weird dragon for staring at humans all day.  He likes his afternoon tea and gets disgruntled if interrupted, although less so if there's actually a good reason for that. If he's not watching humans, he's usually sitting with the Magis reading books, usually about vampires or mythology or sometimes geology, or on the occasion, watching a performance.  At night he likes a good party, and displays rather refined tastes in venue that leave the cave owner completely confused.  Mild and even-tempered, he would get along well if not for the anti-vampire sentiment among the majority.
