Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. A most gluttonous, rather desperate-looking dragon, this male's infatuation with cupcakes is well known. Those who have heard of it only secondhand tend to think it's an amusing story; a dragon who loves cupcakes, how absurd! But those who have met him know it's no joke. Oh, no. Should the slinking Black dragon appear before them, furtively glancing back and forth as he requests a cupcake, they full well understand that "May I have a cupcake, please" really means "GIVE ME THY CUPCAKES OR YE SHALL EXPERIENCE A FIERY DEMISE." Terrible, terrible stories about the fates of those who refuse his request are abundant throughout the kingdom he inhabits, and most bakers keep a few spare cupcakes on hand in case he comes a-calling.
