Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Ever since it hatched, the sky has been full of very dark clouds.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing. It’s learned to use its new wings quickly and you now have a hard time keeping it on the ground.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Thundercaller is usually calm and attentive, always paying attention when the adults are speaking and always showing respect to those who deserve it.  Challenge her to an aerial race, however, and she becomes feisty and barely controllable; her excitement for flight is hard for her to contain at times.  Her favourite hatchling to race against is Cloudborne, as he is the only that poses a real challenge, due to him being a frozen Skywing.  Thundercaller can be a sore loser; if someone else wins a race or game, she often retires to the lofty heights of any nearby storm clouds, letting her disgruntled emotions show by causing small bouts of thunder to boom.
