Hellfire Wyverns are so named for their foul tempers and fiery visages. Their social structure places all females above all males, due to superior physical characteristics and violent dispositions. Forced subservience of the males causes them to become vicious, petty, antisocial, and passive-aggressive compared to the aggressive and social females. However, orphaned hatchlings raised by foster parents of another species can develop surprisingly even tempers and mellow dispositions, proving that their defining unpleasant nature is, in fact, a learned behavior.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Bitter Bonfire is a male Hellfire wyvern with a passion for history. Bonfire spends most of his time studying old records and tales of events, attempting to separate fact from fiction. Most dragons are confused as to why he embarks on this quest, which they view as fruitless. Bonfire brushes their opinions aside, convinced that they know nothing of the wonders of the past.

A small cave in a volcano named "The Mouth Of Thorn" is Bitter Bonfire's home. He lives a lonely existence, with no mate, children or close friends. Bonfire's cave is filled to the bursting point with scrolls, books and timelines, often balanced in tall, badly arranged piles that are apt to sway violently whenever he so much as twitches his tail. However, Bonfire is surprisingly happy in his claustrophobic, antisocial world of parchment and history.

Bitter Bonfire is one of the greatest of dragon historians, yet he lives so buried in the past that he often forgets about the joys of of the present.
