Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

One of the oldest dragons of a family of pure Ice and Winter dragons, Aimheal has seen the rise to greatness of his kind, only to see them slide down again into feuds and friction. It wasn't easy to win and hold these mountains peaks among the various clans of Alba, and to see them divided again between the various members of his clan is an inconsolable grief. He is vexed that sibling is fighting with sibling as each individual tries to carve out their own territory within the family's lands. Particularly the Ice dragons, solitary by nature, find it difficult to live in proximity to each other, with constant squabbles and frequent fights as a result. It breaks his heart to think of the lives lost in the wars building this great territory. What a poor way to repay your ancestors, to oust your brother from the land he is just as much entitled to! More and more Aimheal has taken to retreating into his cave more and more often, rather than force himself to see what his offspring have done.
