Avatars of Destruction possess a volatile disposition. They thrive on chaos and decay, and their horns and plated scales are as hard as forged metal. Because of their affinity with darkness and the destructive forces of nature, it was once thought that these dragons were omens of ill fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Lost deep within the heart of Archanea, there lies a colossal temple known as the Provenance. Of untold age, it was built to house the Mother of the Antecedents, three powerful dragons said to have existed before the Divine Dragon herself. These ancients continue to live, rarely showing themselves in even desperate times, while their influence on the land is ever-present.

Paradisum's Catastrophe is the oldest of the Antecedents. Fathered by the long-absent Pyro Xenowyrm Azairo, the Catastrophe has given the Mother much trouble. As a young dragon, his destructive capabilities led to a feeling of absolute power. Only with age did he learn his place in the order, how carefully choreographed ruination was ultimately beneficial to Archanea and the life within. He lives concealed now, hidden otherwhere and performing only relatively minor acts of ruin for his siblings to act upon. He is the most ulterior of his kin, patiently awaiting the ineluctable day for which he takes the reins.
