And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.
Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.
Qwellena's point of view was different from everybody elses'. She believes that stars are actually giant glowing eyes, staring at you. If an older dragon tells her to stop, she thinks they mean continue to annoying. Most everything Qwellena believes isn't true, she is quiet a handful. Her babysitter says taking care of Qwellena is like taking care of twenty hatchlings. Qwellena isn't evil, she is just a trouble maker, she doesn't realize she is doing anything wrong. She thinks of herself as a little pink angel, which she can be..... sometimes.
