Magma Dragons are capable of withstanding the intense temperatures of their element. They live in volcanic regions, their bodies coated in the red hot magma which clings to their scales. They must leave the lava fields in order to hunt, although they require surprisingly little food to sustain their lumbering mass.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Obsidinuil HiddenFlame (after the gemstone: Obsidian) joined the clan cave as its 189th member, although few knew of her arrival, for it was done in the utmost of secrecy. The Clan Mother found her egg late one evening, quickly returned to the clan cave, and sought guidance from the clan elders. After much debate, it was decided that, considering the recent disturbances, her egg should be hidden away, kept safe within the lava deep beneath the rest of the clan cave. Surrounded by only others of her kind, she developed an attitude of arrogance and self importance that has left the clan elders at a loss, wondering about the wisdom of their choice for her isolation. She rarely ventures from her molten confines, even as a mature adult, convinced that no other place is fit for the likes of her. The Clan Mother refuses to give up on her, believing that her hidden flame will one day emerge to surprise and delight the rest of the clan dragons, who are still mostly unaware of her existence.
