Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Solstice Birthday is one of Phoenix's dragons. As one of the younger dragons in the clan, she tends to keep a low profile and doesn't speak much, but she is a very kindhearted soul, which comes as no surprise. She is good friends with the medic, Feathers Drifting in the Air, and aids her in her work by standing by as a calming presence to injured hatchlings and dragons alike. During the winter she also makes a habit of napping with the hatchlings, keeping them warm. Solstice's other friends include Bright-Eyes Aecara (who is more of an idol to her than a conversational partner), Talks to Strangers, and Fluttering Black Butterfly, among others. She tends to get along with most dragons very well.

Solstice's one and only mate is Hark Herald, a Blusang Lindwurm. He tends to be somewhat distant and detached, but they have their moments of tenderness.
