Aww... It’s a cute baby drake. It seems to like you, although it is very hyperactive and difficult to train.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young drakes are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own.

Arthuur is a bit dim and clumsy, but his antics make him a very lovable drake. He likes to bounce, flapping his wings just enough to become airborne, then touches back down to start the process over again. His wings are large for his body and his legs are gangly and awkward, but he does well to overcome his adolescent shortcomings. Arthuur likes to watch his tamer use the forge.
