Paper Dragons are not truly living creatures. They are pieces of parchment enchanted by magic, and as such, are very vulnerable to fire. However, they behave almost like dragons. The only place where their behavior differs is breeding: paper dragons cannot breed.

Ink was born deep in the library of an abandoned castle. When it hatched, it was alone. Ink taught itself how to read and became a very learned dragon. Soon, more dragons came to the small castle and Ink became their leader. It longs to leave the island where the castle sits and explore the world. But, Ink must stay at the castle and care for the dragons that have come to depend on it. Lately, Ink has taken a shine to writing fiction, but none of the other dragons on the isle can read. So, its books go unread, gathering dust on the castle library shelves. One day, Ink ventured into the upper rooms of the castle and discovered a human sitting at a desk writing on a scroll. The human said "Close the door, Ink, and pretend you didn't see this." Ink did as it was told. To this day, it has no idea who that human is.
