Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Unlike the other hatchlings, this one hatched with wings.

And look! Its back legs have become a second set of wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Tamara Skye chose to be frozen in time because of her crush, who was already frozen when she was still growing. Afraid that she might out-grow him and be unable to love him anymore because of their maturity difference, she desperately searched out the local magi dragons to freeze her. It took her some time to convince them to spell her, since they thought she might get over her infatuation sooner rather than later, so they froze her rather reluctantly.

Tamara Skye is still happily in love with Taka Tiki and helps him with his pranks now and then, if she isn't enjoying the ensuing chaos from the last one.
