White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Merlyn comes from a long line of whites, golds and blacks, many of them carrying his second name. He is treated as aristocracy, being of such high birth. He is the territory's second healing dragon; the pure white beast was once the apprentice of Patronads. Merlyn always carries his oak wood staff with him in his prehensile tail, as it is thought to be good luck.
