Welcome to Dragon Cave! Dragon Cave is an online adoptables game. Collect eggs, raise them to adulthood, and then breed them to create interesting lineages. New dragons are added regularly!
Script Dragons are named for the markings along their wings and sides that look almost like calligraphy. The patterns correspond to no known language, and are slightly different on every dragon. These dragons only develop the characteristic markings when they reach maturity, and they are fairly capable with magic once the patterns appear.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
Uluvix is developing a new system of magic—one that involves joining together symbols in specific ways to form elaborate diagrams. His system requires little innate magic to use, but does require extreme precision, excessive attention to detail, and a willingness to spend hours searching through large and intricate diagrams for every single line that's a hair out of place. That, and a willingness to construct large diagrams for even the simplest spells. Uluvix just can't figure out why his new system is so unpopular, though he suspects it's due to hidebound old dragons who wouldn't know a good new thing if it bit them. That, or jealousy on the part of other dragons that they didn't come up with the idea first.
