Hellfire Wyverns are so named for their foul tempers and fiery visages. Their social structure places all females above all males, due to superior physical characteristics and violent dispositions. Forced subservience of the males causes them to become vicious, petty, antisocial, and passive-aggressive compared to the aggressive and social females. However, orphaned hatchlings raised by foster parents of another species can develop surprisingly even tempers and mellow dispositions, proving that their defining unpleasant nature is, in fact, a learned behavior.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
He was born in a chthonic cavern made from spitting siphons, vehement vents, and other glaring carbuncles that were the brood of a caldera. His father too was born of nether-flames, and maintained many mates outside of the caldera in order to escape its malicious matriarchy. His mother was never revealed to him, but his father was steadfast and shielded the young one from fustigation, naming his first and only offspring after a burning river from the epitaphs of a long-forgotten cult.
They lived happily until Phlegethon's grandfather grew paranoid and assassinated his children, fearful that they would usurp what power he had. Enraged, young Phlegethon attacked and executed his grandfather. He was branded with the epithet of Kingslayer, a name he kept out of bitterness, and fled to a distant land of muted mesas wreathed in the saline of an ancient salt lake. With his soul purged of smog and soot, he sought eternal solace in ethereal Artume, and now contemplates the stars with her.
