When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The sky was black, the waves of the ocean rose and crashed violently, and the wind screamed. A blue shadowy figure could be seen slipping into the raging sea. It weaved, with ease in and out of the toiling waters. A ship fought for control in the middle of the ocean. Rain poured down and struck at the ship as if to say "Leave now! While you have the chance!" The blue shape came closer to the ship diving underneath it. It shot up out of the water wrapping it's muscular body around the ship then squeezing hard, feeling the wood burst. People screamed and jumped off into the icy sea. One human stood tall. "Who are you!!" He screamed. The dragon smiled, showing razor sharp teeth. "Your Worst Nightmare."
