Magma Dragons are capable of withstanding the intense temperatures of their element. They live in volcanic regions, their bodies coated in the red hot magma which clings to their scales. They must leave the lava fields in order to hunt, although they require surprisingly little food to sustain their lumbering mass.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

A very cranky, mean, conniving sort of creature, this rather tiny magma has had a long and brutal history with regards to humans. Soliel was once the close companion of a human seer, and together, the two friends helped to build a city in which humans, dragons, and technology all thrived as one. The founders then retreated to rest and think of other ways they could help advance their world, and all was good until Soliel returned to the city, to see how things had progressed in their absence. To his horror, he discovered that the humans had made the dragons into pets, servants, inferiors--and his name was not recognized. Lost in fury at the betrayal, he abandoned his former kind self and is now working on organizing a great and epic rebellion, his trust in humankind shattered forever. Sadly for him, however, most of the other dragons are quite happy with their current positions and think he's stark raving batty, which sends him into fits. Hopefully his friend will set things right...
