And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Taou is a little grumpy at the fact that his human friend, Kanga, told a magi dragon to freeze him as a hatchling. She said she loved his cuteness and that she couldn't stand to let him grow up. Even though Taou complains about his fate daily, he is secretly pleased that he was chosen to be frozen out of all his black alt friends. Because he can never be an adult and fend for himself, he gets to stay with Kanga permanently. Dragons that take Taou as a baby at first are surprised when they talk to him. He may look cute, but he has an awful sailor's mouth and a perverted mind.
