Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Suitor was named for his charming personality and his flirtatiousness. He seems very interested in any female hatchlings, but because he was frozen, his reproductive instincts have not fully developed and as such, he has no desire to mate with them. It is simply child-like infatuation. Nevertheless, Suitor is gentle and always willing to play with any hatchling who seems bored.
