Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. This hatchling is hard to see, but in the sunlight it displays brilliant colors.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Arckendae is a young Sunsong Amphiptere who visits the cave often, always wearing a little leather pack that fits snugly between his wings. What this backpack carries is a mystery, as he has not shown anyone and refuses to tell anyone who asks. Not much is known about him, as he simply showed up one day asking for a place to rest, though he seems relatively polite, doesn't have much of a sense of humor, and claims to be a messenger from some place far away.
