Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Lady Thuwed Dorkface Gardios hates her name. She is a proud descendent of both Midas Dorkface and Jacloh Thuwed, and loves the thought of being a cross between two great families, but despises the tradition of her very long surname. The combination was so long that she could only be named "Lady." It is elegant, but still annoying. She is slightly obsessive about her appearance, but was pampered so much as a child that it was set in her mind to always be lovely and ladylike. The sunsong Rummyari is her secret friend, and he takes her to the water every day to play like he did as a hatchling so that she could see what the real dragons do. Though she refuses to admit it, she has fallen in love with him and enjoys their trips more than anything else.
