Shallow Water Dragons are found in tropical regions where the water is warm. They use their magic to hunt, using bubbles to capture small fish and animals. Their large, webbed feet make them excellent swimmers and they are able to move at very high speeds. Due to their bright color, these dragons are easily spotted in the lagoons where they live.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Magikarpe spent his childhood living as a feeble nuisance. Nobody seemed to notice his terribly low self esteem. He was bullied, which worsened it, and eventually his life had made him cruel and he said the meanest things inflicted others like bullets... until a wise stranger came along. The stranger pointed out to Magikarpe that he just hated himself, so his mind altered reality and made it seem like everyone else hated him too. That advice changed Magikarpe's life.

Eventually he apologized to everyone that he was bitter to and still regrets his past actions. Magikarpe has gone through many other phases of learning and is very wise now. He gives advice to anyone who seems like they need it. There are some dragons who get offended by his advice because a foul tone has stained his voice forever. They assume that Magikarpe is making fun of their lifestyle. This is false, though. Magikarpe only wants to make himself useful. It hurts him whenever someone blocks off hard-earned wisdom.
