When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

So Long is a friendly dragon who loves to play with the humans of the nearby villages. As a dragon, she is much smarter than an average human, yet the mammals always seem surprised when she performs "tricks" for them. As if the catching of a thrown fish, diving after sunk treasures, or jumping out of the water were little miracles beyond her intellect.

So Long doesn't mind though; their cheerful wonder amuses her and she gets quite a few fish out of it that she doesn't have to hunt herself. When she leaves the shore, she usually waves her fins in a friendly manner and sends a short telepathic "thank you" their way, but most humans are too simple to understand draconic thoughts and remain clueless about So Long's true intelligence.
