Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Alizee carries that same stubborn pride present in all his Skywing Dragon relatives. He loves a good challenge and will scoff at anything he doesn't consider worth his time, which will often include chores. He's a bit of a brat, often acting like he's above others and entitled to more respect than he really is, not to mention he is a terrible procrastinator and has a very short attention span. He has a hard time listening to others, believing his way of doing things is the best way of doing things, whether that be hunting, fishing, building a sturdy nest, etc. And, while he is an admittedly creative problem solver who can get things done efficiently when he puts his mind to it, he still needs to understand the importance of feedback and taking others' advice. This is something his more calm, reserved grandparents have been trying to teach him, with little success so far. Despite his immaturity, Alizee is still a spirited and genuinely kind dragon who will fight for those he loves.
